My Story

It all started when I was a young child playing around in my grandfather’s basement shop (his workbench featured in the photo, along with many of his other tools, continue to be put to good use in my shop). From that first time hammering nails and drilling into a scrap, pine board in his shop, I was hooked.

Over the years, I’ve acquired many skills (and tools) as my woodworking and furniture making evolved.

My journey took several turns…first there was a short, but eventful detour as a professional soccer player…then turned founder and entrepreneur in the tech/internet world.

My style and design influence is a mix of classic mid-century design, traditional hand-cut joinery, and Japanese woodworking aesthetics. My furniture pulls from these traditions and more.

I work primarily with walnut as my species of choice. t is beautiful and a pleasure to work with hand tools. Most my my pieces feature hand-cut dovetail joinery.
